Additionally, they should have front and rear turn signals, a horn, an AS1 or AS4 windshield, windshield wipers, side and rear mirrors, a parking brake, side and rear reflectors, a lighted license plate, and a slow-moving vehicle emblem. The vehicle must be capable of reaching speeds between 20 MPH and not exceeding 25 MPH, and it must have a valid registration (tag) affixed to it. Adhering to these guidelines is crucial, as failure to comply with Florida laws regarding LSVs can result in penalties, including hefty fines for each infraction and potential towing and impounding of the vehicle. All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license to comply with rental terms and conditions. Every front-seat passenger, regardless of age, is required to wear a seat belt. Additionally, all individuals under the age of 18 must also wear a seat belt for safety. Children aged 5 and under must be secured in a car seat or booster seat, adhering to low speed vehicle requirements. Lastly, ensure that no more than the maximum designated number of passengers is present in the vehicle to meet safety regulations.

Low-speed vehicles must adhere to specific low speed vehicle requirements, which state they can only be driven on roadways with speed limits of 35 MPH or less. It is illegal to operate low-speed vehicles on any sidewalk or bike path. Additionally, driving low-speed vehicles on US Highway 98 or along the sidewalks adjacent to US Highway 98 is prohibited. Crossing US Highway 98 is only allowed at a four-way intersection. For those renting low-speed vehicles, please review the rental terms and conditions for additional guidelines. There are several designated LSV pullover spots along routes that allow LSVs to safely pull off the road and let cars pass them. Drivers of LSVs are encouraged to pull over and let cars pass, in accordance with the return and refund policy should any issues arise.

Specific laws apply even when you’re not driving. While low speed vehicles (LSVs) have the advantage of being more compact and maneuverable than the average car, that doesn’t mean they can be left wherever they fit. LSVs must adhere to low speed vehicle requirements and can only be parked in spots designated for other motor vehicles. This excludes parking in front of driveways, on private property, or in any marked No Parking zones. Whether you own the LSV or are renting it, you'll need to be aware of the rental terms and conditions, as you’ll be responsible for any fines incurred.

If your cart gets towed, you are responsible for all fees incurred, which is important to consider alongside our rental terms and conditions and low speed vehicle requirements. Additionally, be aware of our return and refund policy when making your rental decisions.

In the unfortunate event of an accident while you have our LSV or Golf Cart rented, you are responsible for any damages. Repairs will be handled in accordance with the rental terms and conditions, either through your car insurance on file or through full payment at the time of the accident. Please be aware of the low speed vehicle requirements, as they apply to your rental. Additionally, our return and refund policy will be outlined in detail in the rental agreement.

When you rent one of our LSVs, we expect you to adhere to the responsible and safe practices outlined in our rental terms and conditions. This includes showing respect and consideration for our community during your visit and taking care not to mistreat our equipment. Please be aware that we reserve the right to discontinue services with you at any time during your rental booking if these low speed vehicle requirements are not met, and no refunds will be issued, including your security deposit, in accordance with our return and refund policy.
